THE CHALLENGE

Hammerdown Construction wanted an online presence that reflected the accumulating good will they have established in the community. They asked us to help them in two areas:

  1. Renovate their website and Facebook timeline to help the online community see the kind of projects they take pride in doing. But keep the heritage logo.
  2. 2. Improve upon their self-managed, online advertising campaign to increase awareness of Hammerdown Construction’s services.

THE PROCESS

  • We listened.
  • We asked Hammerdown Construction to identify the kinds of projects they love to do: the projects that inspire the Hammerdown team to do their best work.
  • We learned about what prospective clients need in order to build a trusting contractor relationship.
  • And, we learned about how contractors lose projects. Hint: it’s almost NEVER about money.
  • We also reviewed their existing online campaigns to see what could be reclaimed and improved upon.

THE RESULT

  • A simple, professional looking website that quickly tells the visitor who Hammerdown Construction is, what they do, and what the community they serve thinks of their bathroom, basement and kitchen renovation services.
  • A beautiful photo gallery that introduces prospects to Hammerdown Construction’s caliber of work.
  • Internally the photo gallery also helps remind the team that – as a team – they do great work.
  • A Facebook timeline design that compliments the website and supports the brand’s blog-like renovation-progress-report posts.
  • Online Hammerdown Construction has seen dramatic increases in their online campaign’s effectiveness including improvements in key metrics: visits, time on site, organic and paid search scores, CTR, CPC, campaign costs, ad positions and conversions by revising CPC bids, existing ad groups and adding some new ones.
  • As at end of June 2013, the first month of reporting, we have seen a ten-fold increase in their CTR (977%), a modest 12% increase in their CPC and a 63% decline in their campaign cost.
  • Offline our client reports improvements in the number of people calling because they were referred to their website by a friend, Facebook, an organic search or an online ad.
    Importantly, the quality of the calls has resulted in a higher project closing rate, less discounting and more contracts overall (compared to the same time-period last year).

THE CHALLENGE

While Kawaii Crepe is a popular fixture in the Osborne social scene with a fantastic product line, a great location and a strong facebook presence, Kawaii Crepe needed a website that could help keep customers connected and coming back for more.

 

THE PROCESS

  • We went to Kawaii Crepe and ate some crepes.
  • We collected lots of pictures, talked to staff members and customers to ensure we nailed the brand positioning.
  • We went back for more crepes.
  • Then we developed some concepts.

THE RESULT

  • A super simple, modern (even hip) single-page site design that makes the wonderful crepes the heros.
  • A delighted client.
  • (Organic) traffic is steadily increasing and over 80% of the traffic is from brand new visitors.

  1. Demonstrate their fabulous payroll software simply and clearly,
  2. and help visitors understand that when you purchase the IBEX Payroll soft-solution, the warm, caring co-operative corporate culture (and support services) come at no extra charge.

    website and more) and the copy to ensure all
    stakeholders were in agreement with the
    content, design and cultural representations.

  • An eight-page site that tells the IBEX culture and payroll product stories in a fresh, unconventional manner ensuring that IBEX payroll does not get lumped in with the rest. IBEX truly is different and their new brand and website show it for the first time.

THE CHALLENGE

Construction around Confusion Corner and increased competition in the growing organic food category were making it more difficult for Organza to defend its premium brand position. Organza needed to keep the customers they had and grow referrals.

THE PROCESS

  • We listened.
  • We reviewed promotional opportunities, push and pull media options, margins and budgets.
  • Given Organza has limited time and resources we designed an affordable, sustainable social media campaign.
  • The logo was revised to embrace all three profit centres.
  • A new website, a quarterly newsletters and ads were designed to support the brand position: Organza is Manitoba’s choice for organic, seasonal and natural foods and products.

THE RESULT

The Organza e-marketing campaign increases typical site traffic by four to six times.

  • A new website that enables quicker content loading and better SEO.
  • Page visits are up from 2.4 to 3.5.
  • Time on site is up from 1:15 to 1:47.
  • Bounce rates are down from 55% to 38%.
  • Track has been laid for a more comprehensive marketing campaign.

This client had selected a bilingual name for her company and needed a logo, website and brochure to support her on and off-line social networking plan.

  • This wasn’t just another new professional service brand. This brand needed to be completely bilingual, very personal and dynamic.
  • Because the client is very visual, we invited her to a Photo Sort Session to help define the brand positioning and brand design strategy.
  • We challenged our client to look at herself and her business differently and critically to ensure that her brand would NOT get lost in the shuffle.
