The Pain: Despite the fact that our pork industry is one of Manitoba’s largest industries, contributing over $1.7 billion to our economy annually and providing more than 13,000 jobs, the industry was challenged by negative public perception and misleading media representation.

The 6P Solution: Working closely and collaboratively with Manitoba pork producers, we developed an Industry Sustainability Strategy, advertising campaign and marketing, communications and education materials to help urbanites realize an emotional connection to pork producing families and develop an understanding and appreciation for the people who make up the industry.

The Outcome: A positive, proactive campaign that gave the pork industry a friendly and familiar face, resulting in more supportive media representation and helping to grow urban understanding of the importance the industry has to all Manitobans.
